About This Project

The Interpretative Center of Jamor project is an initiative of IPDJ – Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, through National Sports Museum and it’s located in the National Sports Center of Jamor facilities.
With the purpose of establish itself as a place of memory, sharing all the CDNJ – Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor historic path and its most emblematic moments, the project come’s from the conversion plan for a 1.200 m2 access area.

This is place that presents the transformation of the CDNJ over 75 years, covering all aspects: sports, social, cultural, environmental and landscape. The Center is divided into three areas that celebrate the project in different expressions: Vale do Jamor – the transformation of the landscape; Built heritage and a Space for emotions.
